The Parade
The Parade is a collaboration between The Fox. The Folks, myself and students of Cypress College Media Arts and Design.
The original concept of parade was designed by The Fox and The Folks with their amazing flair for colors and whimsical design. The California edition of The Parade is an expanded version of the original work, focusing on the diversity of Southern California.

The Parade is a celebration of differences in culture, heritage and physical appearance. Students of the MAD department were focusing on creating a character design representing both themselves and California as a geographical location.
My contribution to the character lineup is based on my perspective as an immigrant to the USA. Specifically, Los Angeles was the first place I felt home, because I was fully accepted.

The Parade collaboration has been showcased in several Southern California Locations, such as Luminex 3.0, Cypress College and currently is on display Downtown Long Beach as part of the storefront art illumination project "Be The Light" with Loiter Galleries.
